Canary Wharf is a key financial district and the home of many international businesses, including Barclays, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and J. P. Morgan. The area was once one of the busiest docks in the world.

Together with the commercial skyscrapers, Canary Wharf is also bristling with a wealth of new luxury residential developments, including 10 Park Drive, South Quay Plaza and The Wardian. One Canada Square originally held the record for being the tallest UK building, but as of next year The Landmark Pinnacle will just have the edge with a height of 239m.

As you head further to the east you will find yourself in the Docklands Area, which on its border (the Canary Wharf side) features the incredible new community and residential development, known by locals as LCI, London City Island is being recognised as one of the most trendy yet affordable new developments to live in, it has great on site facilities including an outdoor heated swimming pool, 24 hour concierge, boutique restaurants is also home to the English National Ballet.
